AMARO D'UDINE

SINCE 1846
Amaro d'Udine, a herb-based liqueur with a very low alcohol coutent (15% vol.) that has been officially sold since 1846, has ancient origins-typical of many medicinal preparations that have been handed down to us by monks expert in handling herbs.
Doctor Antonio Colutta, a chemist and pharmacist, progenitor of the family, has conserved this very old recipe that we jealously guard and continue to use today, producing a precious, very bitter liqueur but with innumerable nuances of taste and smell.
The poster we have reproduced is in Art Nouveau style, harking back to the beginning of the 1900s; it depicts a hot-air balloon being launched to publicise Amaro d'Udine.
